There is little as satisfying as watching kids
on horseback and the bond they experience with the animal! The Texas
Stables & New Mexico Stables pride themselves on introducing kids and
young people to the world of Horseback Trail Riding.

All
locations offer to lead riders of any age if they are not comfortable reining
their own horse. Riders will receive individual, basic riding instructions
before leaving the mounting corral. *Keep in Mind that little ones
may enjoy a shorter ride if it is their first time out. See additional
notes at the bottom of this section.

offers easy to play Horse Games. You should see which you think is
best! Lajitas Stables Horseback Kids Corral has lots of fun playing
'em. You can solve mazes, crosswords, color horses and test your concentration
and knowledge of horse breeds.

Kids
ages 5 to 15 are required to wear Equestrian type Helmets (which we provide)
on all our horseback trail rides. Minors 16-17 may choose to not
wear a helmet if parent or guardian signs the “Protective Equestrian
Headgear Refusal Agreement Addendum” portion of the Participant
Agreement, Release and Acknowledgement form.
Minors
that are travelling with a friend or with someone other than their own
parents and/or guardian should print Participant
Release form and have the appropriate adult fill-out and sign the form.
The form can be emailed or faxed to our office or brought along and presented
to our office prior to the horseback ride.
